Vehicle Registration & Participant Liability Waiver

LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Okotoks Show & Shine (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”), organized by the Big Rock Auto Club (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”), I, the undersigned participant, hereby agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK  I acknowledge and understand that participation in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to damage to my vehicle, theft, vandalism, accidents, and personal injury. I voluntarily assume all such risks associated with my participation in the Event.
2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY  I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Big Rock Auto Club, its officers, directors, volunteers, sponsors, agents, representatives, the Town of Okotoks, and any other affiliated parties (collectively “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or my vehicle while participating in the Event or while on the premises of the Event, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
3. VEHICLE SECURITY & RESPONSIBILITY  I understand and acknowledge that the Big Rock Auto Club and its volunteers will make reasonable efforts to ensure the safety and security of vehicles during the Event; however, I accept full responsibility for my vehicle and its contents at all times. The Big Rock Auto Club assumes no liability for damage, theft, or vandalism to my vehicle or any personal property.
4. INDEMNIFICATION  I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to my participation in the Event, whether caused by my negligence or otherwise.
5. PHOTO & MEDIA RELEASE  I hereby grant the Big Rock Auto Club the right and permission to photograph, film, record, and use images or video of my vehicle and/or myself for promotional and marketing purposes, including the club’s website, social media platforms, and printed materials, without compensation.
6. EVENT RULES & CONDUCT  I agree to abide by all rules and regulations established by the Big Rock Auto Club for the Event. The Organizer reserves the right to remove any participant for conduct deemed inappropriate or unsafe, without refund of any registration fees.
7. VEHICLE OPERATION  All vehicles must be driven to and from their designated display spot safely and responsibly. No racing, reckless driving, or excessive noise will be permitted on Event grounds. I accept full responsibility for the safe operation of my vehicle at all times.
8. CANCELLATION & WEATHER POLICY  The Big Rock Auto Club reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Event due to severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Registration fees are non-refundable unless the Event is cancelled in its entirety by the Organizer.
9. GOVERNING LAW  This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
10. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT  I HAVE READ THIS LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE, UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY AS MY OWN FREE ACT. I acknowledge that I am 18 years of age or older and legally competent to sign this agreement.

Please read this waiver carefully before registering. By completing your registration through the Car Show Pro app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms of this waiver.
